INSTALLATION

I. software installation

  • The 3D Transformer Simulator is shipped as an electronic download deployed via a ZIP file from our ftp site.
    Follow the instructions below to install the necessary programs and launch the simulation.
  1. Download the ZIP file to a convenient location on your PC. We recommend your desktop. Once the installation is complete, the downloaded ZIP file will no longer be required.
  2. Unzip the ZIP file. After decompression, two files will be available:
    • i. Transformer_Simulator_X.X.X_Company_Name.3dve/
    • ii. 3DVoyager X.X.XXX Setup.msi/
  3. Double-click the 3DVoyager MSI file to install the Software. 3DVoyager will give your system the capability to experience 3D simulators developed by 3DInternet (3DVE files).
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the installation of 3DVoyager.
  5. To launch the Transformer Simulator, double-click the Transformer 3DVE file. This file stores the simulation. We recommend that you move this file to a safe and convenient location on your PC, since you will need it whenever you want to load the simulation.

II. Registering the Transformer Simulator

  • Simulators MUST be installed by a full machine administrator. The dialog window below will be visible the very first time the Transformer Simulator is launched. The e-mail that this document is attached to should detail your bundle key and password. Select the "Bundle Key" option and then enter the bundle key and password. Make sure you read the terms and conditions before selecting "I Agree". Click the "Register" button to register the Software.

III. Transferring Licenses

  • Once a Simulator is registered, it can be transferred from PC to PC easily. Follow the steps below:
  1. Locate the PC that you want to transfer the license from.
  2. Double-click the 3DVoyager 2.0 icon from the desktop. If it is not there then try Program Files -> 3DInternet -> 3DVoyager 2.0.
  3. After 3DVoyager has loaded, select the "License Manager" from the "View" menu item.
  4. A screen will appear which will detail all of the registered Simulators on your machine. Click the "Transfer License" button under the license you wish to transfer.
  5. A dialog box will appear to confirm the transfer. Click the "Yes" button. This will free up a license.
  6. Locate the PC you want to install the Simulator license to. Follow the installation and registration steps in sections I and II of this document.

IV. Licensing Problems

  • Occaisionally Windows persmissions issues can cause problems with registering or transferring licenses. Adding additional permissions is done by following these steps:
  1. Right-click on C:\Program Files (x86)\3DInternet(64 bit operating system) or C:\Program Files\3DInternet(32 bit operating system), click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click Edit to open the Permissions dialog box.
  3. Click Add. Type EVERYONE, and then click OK.
  4. In the Permissions for <User or Group> box, select the Allow Full control check box.
  5. Click Apply then click OK.
